MORE AND more vehicles are rolling off South African production lines and into the export market.
According to the latest figures from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa,) total vehicle exports during the first half of this year reached 29 033 units compared to 24 239 for the January-June period in 1999.
Car exports have started to expand more rapidly again and were up from 4002 in May to 5359 in June for a first half total of 24334.
Naamsa predicts that the upward trend will continue for the rest of the year.
