UPS recognised for 'creative technology'

UPS LOGISTICS Group, of which local forwarder Fritz is a part, has been recognised for its success in developing "Internet-based services to help customers hone their supply chains to save time and money while also improving their customer service." The company was among 100 organisations chosen by US-based IT publication InfoWorld for creatively using technology to bolster business efforts. It highlighted UPS's partnership to manage Ford Motor Company's delivery of new cars to dealers, reducing transit time for new vehicles by 25% and saving $125 million a year in inventory costs.
