Two top officials of the province of Nampula’s customs authority, the provincial manager of customs Ildefonso Manuel and the head of operations Albertina Ussene, have been dismissed by the president of the country’s Tax Authority (AT), reports the Mozambique Investor. This shake-up follows the discovery of large amounts of top grade timber in July which was destined for illegal export through the port of Nacala situated in the province.
