Going the extra mile to ensure clients’ optimum safety is nothing out of the ordinary for G4S Special Cargo Handling (SCH). According to operations manager Andre Du Venage, the commitment to clients' needs can be seen in the recent purchase of 13 Corsa lights. “We ensure our clients receive the best service and if that means investing in more vehicles or extra resources then that is what we do.” Du Venage says taking the risk profile of their clients seriously is very important. “We are committed to ensuring that cargo moves safely around the African continent – and are specialists in this field. Our services are very specific and we ensure cargo is always protected from destination to destination, seven days a week.” According to Du Venage G4S SCH is specifically skilled when it comes to the protection of trucks moving high-value cargo. “We bought the 13 Opel Corsas specifically to service a new client with whom we signed a contract on December 1. It is proof of our commitment to ensure our clients’ needs are met. We are also a big enough operation to ensure the optimum resources are in place.” Safeguarding cargo is becoming increasingly important in the industry, says Du Venage. “We offer specialised services to companies that move cargo of high value as we know exactly how to ensure it reaches its destination safely.” With truck hijackings occurring frequently across the country, more cargo movers are putting preventative measures in place. “Rather be safe than sorry,” said Du Venage. “Preventative measures are important and employing a company to safeguard your cargo is one means of doing that.”
