Transport company passes the ‘Harry Potter test’

Daily service covers Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho MARIE-LAIS EMOND THE RECENT international launch of the latest Harry Potter novel put the logistics skills of M&B Transport to the test – and the company came up trumps according to MD Maria Puzone. “We had copies in the bookshops of Botswana and Swaziland at the same time as London. And it’s easier getting things to London than it is to Swaziland, so that was something to be proud of,” she told FTW. M&B Transport offers collections from customer to client without any subcontracting or involvement of third parties, says Puzone. Daily services are operated to Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho, covering distant and outlying areas. The company’s head office and main warehouse are based in Johannesburg, with a fully operational branch with bonded store in Swaziland. Plans are advanced for the opening of Durban and Botswana branches while the addition of a clearing and forwarding department is also on the cards. The black empowerment company conducts its own in-house training to keep staff up to speed on customs procedures and documentation.
