CAPE Town -based School
of Shipping, accredited for
several years now by the
Transport Education and
Training Authority (TETA), is
presenting a series of Spring
courses, bound to appeal
to those bent on furthering
their shipping knowledge.
These include a threeday
course in container
management, starting on
September 17 and covering
a wide range of subjectrelated
matter.
Aim of the course,
says the SOS, is to
equip the candidate
with a comprehensive
understanding of the global
container fleet and its many
different dimensions, both
on land and sea.
It is most suited to
those in the business of
moving cargo in containers
– whether own or third
party cargo – importers and
exporter sector employees
and accounting staff.
Subjects to be covered
range from an introduction
to container management to
tracking and demurrage.
