THE WEEKLY arrival of a Hungarian jet aircraft in Durban bringing in upwards of 200 Hungarian tourists at a time for
a week-long visit, has brought with it freight opportunities on the return journey.
According to the tour operators, Safari Travel, they are eager to use the return flights for airfreighting export goods to Budapest and Europe.
Although there is only one flight remaining in
the current season, on February 19, the service will resume later in the year with weekly flights in and out of Durban. The February 19 return flight currently has spare capacity of 10 tons for cargo available at discounted prices - starting from
US$2 per kilogram to as low as can be negotiated, according to volumes, by interested parties.
