TNPA pushes collaborative model

Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has once again stressed the importance of collaboration and co-operation of all the stakeholders in the supply chain if the country wants to see its logistics costs decrease and compete globally. TNPA’s Vusi Khumalo said while the port system remained integral to the entire supply chain in South Africa, its success was not only the responsibility of Transnet but all role-players and stakeholders. “It is important that we realise that a more collaborative process is needed to increase efficiency and turnaround times.”
