That’s correct … correction

One of the challenges in keeping people informed – as Customs Buzz (and its sister column Duty Calls) does - is to account for correction notices (sometimes also, incorrectly, called amendment notices), as people may well not take note of the correction(s). What proves particularly challenging is to account for a correction that is itself a correction. In each instance the reason for the correction needs to be understood and conveyed. It could be that the second correction could return it to the original notice.
In the infamous words of Mr Murphy – “There is never enough time to do it right the first time, but there is always enough time to do it over.”
