On 26 June 2026, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the amendment of rules under Sections 39 and 101A to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 (Invoice data and customs worksheet data) with effect from 03 July 2026.
The rule amendment includes the amendment of forms DA:
- SAD 509 – “Customs declaration form (ZA only), Invoice and worksheet detail particulars”
- SAD 509.01 – “Customs declaration form (ZA only) Invoice line item details – Continuation sheet”
