Teta appoints acting CEO

THE TRANSPORT Education and Training Authority (Teta) has appointed an acting CEO. Taking the hot seat is Dudu Letseli, who has been contracted until December 31. According to sources in-the-know, it is then likely she will be confirmed as CEO – although the authority is still going through a formal recruitment procedure, and another candidate could still be the final choice. Although a full CV is not yet available to FTW, we have been told that Letseli was formerly executive officer of Teta’s road freight chamber – but then departed for pastures new in the consulting field. According to information released to FTW, it appears that the appointment has met with the approval of representatives of the SA Association of Freight Forwarders (Saaff). One described Letseli as "easygoing”, “approachable” and seeing herself as “a provider to the paying members”.
