Latest innovation from Compu-Clearing
A NEW “amazing technicolor tariff book” is how MD Arnold Garber describes the latest innovation from Compu-Clearing.
“In spite of the major impact that computers have had in the life of everyone in the freight industry, the printed tariff book is still very much a preference for most.”
However, Compu-Clearing has now launched a new version of the printed tariff - with statistical units all colour-coded.
“The tariff descriptions and the rates of duties are colour-coded, with the more duty paid, the darker the colour.”
Permit requirements fall under the same colour-coding identification, attached to their appropriate tariff headings.
This, and Schedule 1 part 2B also being attached to each specific tariff heading, means no need for that as an extra book, and no necessity for a separate permit guide.
“Updates to the tariff book will be sent via e-mail,” he added, “and will also be available on our website.”
