JOY ORLEK THE NEXT step in the formation of a local chapter of the Transported Asset Protection Association takes place on February 15. Tapa will host a meeting from 09:00-13:00 at DHL’s Isando premises. Attendance will be limited to 50 people ranging from buyers and suppliers to other industry professionals. Anyone interested should access the website on www.tapaemea.com/south-africa to establish eligibility. Attendance will be by invitation only. Tapa is an association of security, logistics, insurance and law enforcement professionals who are pro-active in promoting standards and initiatives to tackle growing concerns about cargo-related crime in the supply chain. Unacceptably high levels of crime at OR Tambo International Airport is the prime motivator for the move.
