THE SA chapter of the Transported Asset Protection Association (Tapa) issued a strong plea for support from the industry at last week’s Ciltsa airfreight conference in Johannesburg. Despite its successes in Europe against cargo security threats, Tapa in South Africa has battled to get off the ground, said committee member Anthonie Verploegh of Safcor Panalpina.
