Tanzanian president John Magufuli has relieved the permanent secretary at the ministry of infrastructure of his duties, dissolved the board at Tanzania Port Authority (TPA) and revoked the appointment of its chairman and director-general.
He has booted the permanent secretary of the ministry of transport.
He was reported to have dissolved the board and revoked the appointments of the leaders on the grounds of ‘very poor performance’, and the leaders not taking action in the face of port scandals.
