Tanzanian airline launches new service

NOMPELO NDZIMELA LAST MONTH saw the launch by Tanzanian airline Precision Air Express of a direct service between Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg, operating four times a week. A Boeing 737-300 is deployed on the route. The airline is 49% owned by Kenya Airways, an agreement that has expanded its route network. In partnership with BA Comair and Nationwide, the airline offers a same day flight connection from departure points in Tanzania to various destinations in South Africa. Precision’s route network includes scheduled flights to and from Grumet, Comoro, Hahaya, Lake Manyara, Kigoma, Mtwara, Lindi, Tabora, Seronera and Nairobi.
