This heat shrink cover was fitted to a 20-ton motor cruiser used during the Volvo Ocean Race by Cape Crating. The cover keeps the oily tar-like deposits from the ship’s stack from contaminating the boat, preventing an expensive cleaning and buffing exercise once the cruiser lands. It provides security by keeping expensive electronics and fittings out of sight. The covers are becoming popular with manufacturers of new boats and yachts while large machinery can be covered in the same way.
