Ray Smuts IT DOES not take much to fill the Cape Town container terminal - five ships at a squeeze - so it was to be expected there would be ‘no room at the inn’ after the Easter weekend as six new arrivals awaited berths. Altogether 12 vessels were at anchor in Table Bay at sunrise on Tuesday (April 22) - six container and four multi-purpose vessels, a Russian salvage tug and the German Antarctic ship Magdalena Oldendorff. The multi-purpose terminal, which reported spare capacity last week, was also heading for a full-up notice as only one berth lay empty awaiting the mooring at 09:00 of the passenger/cargo vessel RMS St Helena.
