Thanks to the implementation of the CargoWise® ediEnterprise system, a logistics company has improved productivity by 15%, according to Moshe Zulberg, marketing and training manager of CargoWise’s SA partner Compu-Clearing. The system, implemented for Global Logistics Alliance over a period of three months, replacing an internally developed customer database that had been in operation since the company’s inception, reduced costs and improved service delivery,” he said. “It has resulted in a significant improvement in reporting, customer service and data handling.” The software rollout began across the company’s offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town following a four-week training programme, says Global Logistics’ managing director Janine Hammond. “Staff rapidly embraced the new system, as it provides modules that are specific to the requirements of different divisions within the business. The greatest enhancement since changing to ediEnterprise is the amount of data and reports that we are easily able to generate at the drop of a hat. These reports help us to measure our progress month on month, and keep our clients abreast of multitudes of information they frequently require.” ”The ediEnterprise system is suitable for both small- and-medium sized companies as well as large global freight forwarding corporations,” says Zulberg. “Global Logistics went live within three months of signing. They are now fully live on all systems and are providing a differentiated level of service to all customers.” INSERT ‘Significant improvement in reporting, customer service and data handling.’ CAPTION Moshe Zulberg ... ‘suitable for all logistics companies big or small.’
