Suspects arrested with R2.4mn worth of stolen goods

Four suspects have been apprehended by the SA Police Service (SAPS) from Mountain Rise in KwaZulu-Natal after stolen property to the value of R2.4 million was located in a warehouse in the region.

Three of the suspects were arrested while loading the property into a Toyota Quantum panel van outside the warehouse, while the fourth was picked up at a bottle store in Pietermaritzburg not long after, according to the government’s news portal, SANews.

Following the arrests, the police conducted an investigation of the premises where they recovered goods and subsequently charged the men, aged between 20 and 50. It was determined that the goods had been stolen after a retail truck carrying clothes was hijacked in Camperdown.
