Two men were arrested on Wednesday after they were found in possession of 29 stolen sheep in Jouberton, near Klerksdorp in the North West.
According to police spokesperson Pelonomi Makau, a farmer in the Paardeplaas area near Hartbeesfontein had reported 39 sheep stolen from his farm.
“A manhunt was launched and two men, aged 33 and 43, were stopped by police in the early hours of Wednesday morning,” said Makau.
The suspects appeared in the Klerksdorp magistrate’s court and have been charged with stock theft and possession of stolen livestock.
