Supply chain survey needs your input

Complete the questionnaire and receive a full copy of the report Joy Orlek THE SECOND independent survey of South Africa’s logistics and supply chain management industry has just been launched under the supplychainforesight banner. Conceptualised by Barloworld Logistics and conducted by independent marketing company Terranova, the study is intended to help local companies improve their competitiveness both locally and abroad. To deliver comprehensive, meaningful and informative results requires buy-in from as many respondents as possible, which is why FTW readers have been invited to participate in this year’s survey. It is however intended only for South Africa companies involved in supply chains and not for third party logistics service providers. All it requires is ten minutes of your time to fill in the questionnaire which can be accessed at www.supplychainforesight.co.za. All readers who complete the questionnaire will receive a full copy of the report as well as an invitation to a breakfast seminar where the findings of the survey will be shared with the industry. “By providing companies with insight into current logistics efficiencies, they are able to benchmark their own performance against that in their industry as well as against other local sectors,” says Barloworld Logistics director Barry Saxton. “With this knowledge companies can set firm objectives to improve their performance, both here and abroad.” The results of the survey will be released early next year.
