TERRY HUTSON ONE OF the positive results of the United States dollar devaluation against the rand is that it is now viable to competitively import American equipment into South Africa, says Ken Mouritzen, well known director of Greystones Enterprises whose company Big Lift Trucks has been appointed Africa distributor for Taylor Machine Works, Mississippi, USA. Taylor equipment may not be well known in South Africa but it is highly sought after internationally, mainly because of its robust, simple design, ease of maintenance and low running cost. Big Lift Trucks will be marketing the full range of Taylor container handling equipment and industrial fork lift trucks from 8 to 42 ton capacities to the shipping, steel, timber and materials handling industries, says Mouritzen. He told FTW that Big Lift Trucks had full equipment support structures.
