Strengthening its reefer footprint

Growing and strengthening
its reefer footprint in
South Africa is a key goal
for vessel liner CMA CGM
which has just moved its
Cape Town branch into new
offices.
Having centralised
its entire reefer market
customer service
organisation in Cape Town
and appointed Faizel
Williams as a national
reefer manager for South
Africa, the decision to move
offices to the new Portside
building in the Foreshore
brings the team closer to its
customers.
“It is about delivering
a dedicated, fast and
reliable customer service,”
said Vitesh Ramphal,
CMA CGM South Africa
managing director. “Cape
Town is an important reefer
market for South Africa
and our ambition is to
grow our presence in this
market through fortified
investments.”
Aida Perumal, Cape Town
branch manager, said the
office was ideally suited to
meet the needs of the reefer
team in Cape Town but also
to service customers more
effectively.
CMA CGM first opened
its Cape Town branch in
2011 and has continued to
see growth in this market.
