OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND for South African exporters to Sri Lanka and the Maldives. This was the clear message from a 10-member buying mission which met 70 local companies at the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry offices recently.
SA already exports substantial quantities of paper and steel to these countries. The delegation was however keen to source a range of commodities including beverages, frozen and processed foodstuffs, fruit and fruit juices, dairy products, furniture, building materials, paper and packaging products, household appliances, timber and steel.
