DESPITE THE odds stacked against them, several exporters have indeed met their growth targets this year. According to a reader poll conducted on Cargo Info Africa, FTW’s sister publication on the internet, 25% of respondents reached target, 68% did not and 8% were unsure. In the previous poll the majority of readers blamed the stronger rand for their failure to meet targeted growth, while port congestion and the surcharge were the secondary factors.
