Shipping executives roll up their sleeves

John MacDonald, Safmarine southern Africa reefer executive, and Hilary Gardner, Western Cape branch administrator, were two of the Safmariners who got down and dirty recently doing community work at Velokhaya. The non-profit organisation in Khayelitsha uses cycling programmes to involve township youth in a positive, after-school activity and to supplement their formal education by teaching them important life skills such as discipline, determination and dedication.
