June 30 deadline for review applications ALAN PEAT A NUMBER of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duties are due to disappear in 2007. According to the International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) these include: Self copy paper from Belgium, Germany and the UK; suspension PVC (Brazil, France, UK, USA); door locks and door handles (China); garden picks, hoes, spades, shovels, rakes and forks, towels and face cloths (China); PTFE tape and woven fabrics of polyester staple fibre (China); wire ropes (China, Germany, Korea, UK); PVC rolled goods (Germany, India, Netherlands, Thailand); welded galvanised steel pipe (India); Lysine (Indonesia, USA); and roller bearings (USA). Next year the duties on these will go, trade and customs consultants Deloitte told FTW, unless the affected local industries ask for a review. The closing date for the original applicants for the duties to ask ITAC for a further review of the affected product categories is June 30. If no response is received by this date, the duties will be allowed to expire, according to ITAC.
