Sebenza gets ready for official UK launch

THE INDEPENDENT black-owned freight forwarder, Sebenza Forwarding and Shipping Consultancy, is busy planning the official launch of its UK office - due to take place at SA House in London on March 13. As part of the preparation the SA High Commissioner in London, Lindiwe Mabuza, has just paid a visit to the head office of Sebenza in Kempton Park. Sebenza UK (the first of the intended chain of Sebenza Forwarding Europe offices) has been operational since last September, and is situated in Colnbrook, Slough, the home of a large freight forwarding network, and within 10-minutes of the cargo terminal at Heathrow Airport. “We offer services in airfreight and seafreight imports and exports - both full container loads (FCL) and less-than container loads (LCL) - and road consignments,” Sebenza’s new chairman Peter-Paul Ngwenya told FTW. “Our client base in the UK ranges from small to large companies in varied industries. We have the ability to move all types of air and sea freight with just one example being satellite equipment from the likes of Andrew Statcom.”
