THE SEARCH is still on for a new CE at the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB), according to chairman, Maxwell Hawes. This, he told FTW, followed the termination of former CE Cornelius “Neels” Hubinger’s contract of employment – officially from June 30, although he had already been released from duty. While the employment procedure continues – and it should certainly be completed by year-end, according to the head of the board’s legal and secretariat sections, Adela Fortune – it’s very much a case of “who’s manager today?”. This with the acting CE post being rotated between the PPECB executive team, Fortune, Dean Martin, Gerrit Bruwer and Johan Schwiebus. It was Martin’s turn in the boss’s seat as FTW went to print.
Search continues for PPECB head
