Saudi Arabia’s state oil company, Aramco, has issued assurances that it will restore full crude oil output by the end of this month.
This comes amid fears of a significant jump in crude oil prices caused by a scarcity in the commodity, following attacks on two of Saudi Arabia’s biggest oil production facilities, Abqaiq and Khurais.
In a statement following a media tour of the Saudi facilities, Aramco’s general manager, Fahad Abdulkarim, said the company was shipping equipment from the United States and Europe to rebuild the damaged facilities.
“We are confident we are going back to the full production we were at before the attack,” Abdulkarim said.
He highlighted that about two million barrels per day had already been brought back at Abqaiq, as well as 30% of Khurais’s output.
