South African Airways (SAA) has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding that will see it spread its wings in Ghana.
The MoU, signed between SAA CEO Vuyani Jarana and CEO of Africa World Airlines (AWA) John Quan, was signed on Monday at the Ghana Ministry of Aviation in Accra.
It allows the two airlines to enhance their relationship through synergies that include code sharing, franchising and any other related projects.
SAA operates daily flights between Johannesburg and Accra, with four of the flights continuing onwards to Washington and the other three to Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.
In April SAA will increase the frequency of flights from Accra to Washington to five flights per week.
