Monaco’s Prince Albert recognises a good thing when he sees it. This applies not only to his choice of a South African bride, former Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock, but to South African wines that will be served exclusively at their union in July. The wine honours go to Haskell Vineyards, maker of premium wines on the slopes of the Helderberg mountain at Stellenbosch, owned by US entrepreneur Preston Haskell since 2002. Prince Albert has been a regular visitor to Haskell over the past few years and such has been his enthusiasm for these wines that he has helped the estate to establish its brands in Monaco.
