THE STELLENBOSCH estate Neethlingshof has pipped five others to the post by walking off with the South African Wine Producer of the Year award at the 2002 International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
Neethlingshof won the top honour for its two high scoring reserve wines in the apex Lord Neethling range.
Lord Neethling Pinotages are now in such demand that even in distant Norway they are being stocked by the state-run retail chain Vinmonopolet.
