THE SA freight portal, Route IT, has linked up with the German-based GloMaP.com which supplies a global, business-to-business, online marketplace and sea freight exchange for cargo shipments.
GloMap has a strong presence in Europe and Asia, m.d. Markus Giesenkirchen told FTW, and is rapidly expanding into North and South America, Australia and the Middle East.
The partnership now allows Route IT - which launched www.freightroute.com in June last year - to offer the Southern African shipper and carrier a global solution with local support, according to m.d.
