A TOTAL of 999 vessels sailed into SA’s chain of commercial ports in October, according to Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) figures. This was a total of 21 281 882-tons deadweight. Container ships made up 276 of these ships – with a deadweight tonnage of 7 446 121-t.
