Russia stages Brics agriculture collaboration exhibition

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) – in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) –  will be participating in the 17th Russia Agriculture Exhibition, themed "Golden Autumn 2015". 
The event will take place at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow from October 8-11 under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
The dti said that the exhibition would include the Agro Business Forum of investment for agricultural projects in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (Brics).
The exhibition’s objective is to attract investments to develop the agro-industrial complexes of Brics countries and increase the volume of mutual investments among Brics countries, said DAFF.
It also aims to increase the volume of mutual trade in agricultural products, raw materials and food products among Brics countries and develop cooperation among state authorities, industry-specific organisations, experts and investors.
The exhibition is expected to draw over 2 000 exhibitors from Russia and other countries. Key exhibitors will include food processing industries, agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturers.
