ROHLIG AND Rainbow Software have joined hands in introducing the new RITS (Rohlig International Trade System).
Traders who are exporting by sea, air, road and rail can benefit from the new system.
Rainbow Software International (RSI) has been developing innovative IT solutions for the international trade community since 1993.
The company focuses on understanding international trade management and the order-processing environment to provide customers with the most efficient and cost effective tools and solutions currently available.
The products can be used by South African exporters and importers wishing to streamline their international trade processes and procedures.
The objective of the RITS system is to assist exporters, large or small, currently exporting or intending to export to expand or to start in the international market place by providing them with systems that automate their export-related functions and activities. It will also provide them with communications and marketing tools integrating with RITS to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Rohlig believes that RITS will increase the efficiency of export departments; shorten the response time between the customer enquiry and estimates; eliminate practically all typing errors; eliminate repetition of information; reduce the skills and human resources required to produce and manage documents
cost effectively; dramatically increase the output of the export departments without increasing resources; provide electronic filing of all documents for later retrieval/ reporting and allow for customisation to meet exact requirements at any stage.
