Last week saw the official
opening of Röhlig-
Grindrod’s new offices in
Cape Town, merging its air
and seafreight operations
into one facility.
Comprising office space
of 1000 sqm and a new
warehouse of 1500 sqm, the
new building is centrally
situated near the Cape
Town International Airport
in close proximity to the
major highways and port.
Cape Town branch
manager, Danie du Plessis,
told FTW the merged
operation created better
efficiencies by merging
some of the functions that
were being duplicated.
And the Cape Town
branch is looking forward
to growth.
“When we secured the
land for this building we
also secured the option on
the vacant stand next door
and we hope to see another
2500 sqm of warehousing
added by 2015 at the
latest.”
Managing director Kuben
Reddi said the investment
in the new premises was
based on the Cape Town
office’s track record and
continued growth.
“Our Cape Town office
has shown year-on-year
growth despite the tough
economic times we have
been through,” he said.
“Our investment in new
premises sets the stage for
further growth.”
