A NEW cross-border transport website has been launched offering what Edward Little, executive director of SAAFF (SA Association of Freight Forwarders), describes as a host of valuable information.
www.cbrta.co.za has been put on the Internet by the SA Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) - formerly part of the Department of Transport, which was hived-off and privatised recently with the state the sole shareholder.
It has proved to be a valuable partner in the road transport industry, according to Little - Helping to promote and assist cross-border trade rather than hinder it with regulations, he said.
It has done a whole lot of good work recently on permits for the SADC, for example, and other items like axle loadings and visas.
