Rennies Distribution invests heavily in new and existing facilities

A ZERO tolerance approach lies at the heart of Rennies Distribution Services’ chemical operations, says marketing manager Fiona Cragg. “Over the past 18 months the company has set about establishing national benchmark facilities where a wide range of chemical products are safely handled and distributed,” says Cragg. “All chemical products are stored in accordance with the International Maritime Goods Code in legally compliant facilities.” The company has invested significantly in the acquisition and takeover of new facilities as well as the remodelling of existing operations, says Cragg. “The upgrading of materials handling and IT equipment has ensured greater efficiencies and improved service delivery to customers.” The size of its national chemical distribution centres is currently in excess of 30 000m2.
