The Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works has begun construction on the rehabilitation of Main Road 298 on the Route 43 between Worcester and Wyzersdrift.
According to Byron la Hoe, communication officer for the department, the project includes the widening of the Breede River Bridge and the repair of other structures along the section of the road. The estimated contract value is R227 million and the project is expected to be completed towards the end of 2017.
