African countries must focus
on consistency of regulations
across the region if they
want to move project cargo
effectively along corridors.
Bronwen Walter, shipping
manager for Columbus
Stainless, says having to meet
the different requirements of
different governments places
major strain on cargo owners
and often has a major cost
impact.
“More and more shippers
are lobbying for governments
to work together to implement
simple solutions that are the
same across a region,” she said.
