BMW (SOUTH AFRICA), winners of the Gauteng Exporter of the Year award for 2001, has Freitan SA as its export forwarding agent.
FTW incorrectly named Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (HWL) as its forwarder in the article headlined "Export Winner" (December 7, 2001).
HWL handles the forwarding for Bigen Africa, which won the services category award at the function.
The event, the first of its kind in Gauteng, was arranged by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who were co-sponsors of the main award with Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank.
Co-sponsors of category awards were Maersk Sealand and the National Ports Authority..
