Can you imagine what the rest of the international business world thinks about FDI in South Africa and the treatment that a major investor was afforded at the hands of the Competition Commission? Like others I don’t think the Unions see the bigger picture for the future. Chris Wilson. What better move to force SA business to be more competitive in a world market. I’m all for the deal. It’s about time the unproductive, highly expensive labour market in SA gets a shake-up. Besides, the man in the street stands to gain all the benefit from such a move and the pressure is on government to re-strategise its business plan of making SA more competitive.
