JOHANNESBURG, August 14 (ANA) - South African President Cyril Ramaphosa would undertake his first state visit since being elected in May to Tanzania, where he would later also attend a regional summit, his office said on Wednesday.
During the August 14-15 state visit, Ramaphosa and Tanzanian leader John Magufuli will discuss bilateral, continental and global issues and reaffirm their commitment to further cooperating on multilateral matters, the presidency said in a statement.
The two presidents will address a business forum arranged by the ministries of trade and industry of both countries.
The presidency said Ramaphosa would also visit the town of Morogoro west of Tanzania's capital Dar es Salaam to pay his respects after a fuel tanker explosion killed more than 70 people on Sunday.
Ramaphosa will then lead South Africa's delegation at the Southern African Development Community summit scheduled for August 17-18.
