Rail body deliberates over way forward

The current management committee of the Container Rail Operators’ Forum (Crof) is busy breathing new life into the body, according to a discussion with chairman Georgi Georgiev of Grindrod Intermodal. The present task is to re-establish a comfortable relationship with Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), and this is still in the early stages, he told FTW. The forum committee is also considering various issues – and grading these in order of priority. Meantime, activities will remain “on a low gas”, according to Georgiev.
