Project ‘Pro’ handles 120mt reactor

ONE OF the more unusual cargoes (left) handled by Pro Line recently was this 120mt reactor loaded aboard the Pro Asia in Japan and discharged in Cape Town for the petrochemical industry. Pro Line is one of a few carriers that still offer a pendulum breakbulk service between the FE - SA - East Coast South America in both directions. Its regular ports of call include Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Vitoria in Brazil, Shanghai, Xingang, Masan, Busan, Kobe, Yokohama and Singapore in the Far East and Durban both east and westbound, with other ports on inducement. “The Pro Line vessels are ideal for project cargoes and a mix of various commodities such as trucks, sawn timber, logs, machinery and earth moving equipment,” said André Swanepoel of agents Bridge Marine.
