PROJECT CARGO specialists are upbeat about the future of the industry. Attendees at the Project Professionals Group annual conference in Denmark last month reported particular growth in the movement of wind energy generators and blades, heavy industry plant and equipment, and freight forwarding on behalf of the United Nations and military clients. More than 110 logistics operators from 55 countries attended the event. It was clear from presentations by the likes of Beluga Chartering and other specialists that project cargo was in high demand and was only restricted by aircraft and vessel availability and timetabling.
