The regional associations, including the Cape Town Association of Freight Forwarders, are constitutionally autonomous bodies, said Peter Meihuizen.

But the parent-child concept of SAAFF - in its relationship with its daughter bodies - will become more important as we enter the 21st century. As SAAFF is recognised by government, and business in general, as the spokesman for the clearing and forwarding industry, we in Cape Town have no doubt that its prestige will grow as we enter the new millennium.
